Cornerstone - Novel

“You have very special friends, Gali,” my mother remarks, my mother remarks, turning around from the front passenger seat and smiling at me. “I know,” I smile back. There’s something exciting about the newness of it all, something about the concept of a fresh start that’s just giving me good vibes. It’s going to work out. It’s going to be good. It has to be!

When sweet, mild-mannered Gali Roberg signs up for camp together with her closest friend, she doesn’t dream that it will lead to a brand-new stage in her life.
Every summer has its ups and downs, and now this one is finally behind her. Or is it? Eleventh grade can be a delicate dance, between school cell phone policies, too-friendly classmates, Melavah Malkah politics... but with her natural grace, Gali can navigate it all. Or can she?
Diamonds have been in the family for as long as Gali can remember, and there’s nowhere she’d rather hang out than in their custom-built showroom. But when the unthinkable happens, there’s no way they’ll regain their lost sparkle. Or is there?

Join Gali on her roller-coaster of a year as she lays the Cornerstone for those around her. Because who says a teenager can’t make the world a better place?
