Description
Description
It is impossible to remain indifferent to the powerful sound that erupts when blowing the Shofar Ram. Some believe that the Shofar Haram is the shofar used by the Levites in the Temple. Its straight form arouses controversy among judges regarding its use in the synagogue.
The ram is a species of antelope that is common in most of the African continent, and in the past was even in Israel (nowadays there is a project to restore it to the wild in Israel). The ram horn is black and straight, with a long bore stroke and a sound reminiscent of a trumpet. Although from a halachic point of view it is kosher, since it is honest and not subservient, there is a dispute as to whether it is possible to fulfill the mitzvah and use it to issue a binding contract.
